Xionggang Glass: Laminated Insulating Fire-Rated Glass for Commercial and Public Buildings

Laminated insulating fire-rated glass (“EI” class) is designed to maintain integrity and limit heat transmission during a fire. Its multilayer construction bonds glass sheets with a fire-resistant interlayer that expands under high temperatures to form an insulating barrier. This slows the passage of flames, smoke and radiant heat, extending the time available for evacuation and emergency response compared with standard glazing.

Typical applications include office partitions, meeting-room windows and doors, shopping-atrium enclosures, residential balcony glazing and stairwell screens. The material is also widely specified in hospitals, schools and transport hubs where maintaining fire-compartment separation is essential.

Sichuan Xionggang Glass Co., Ltd. has manufactured architectural glass since 2000 from a roughly 70,000 m² fabrication plant in Chengdu’s Tianfu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, employing around 300 staff. The product range spans laminated insulating fire-rated glass, nano-silica composite fire-rated glass, borosilicate 4.0 fire-rated glass, monolithic non-insulating fire-rated glass (integrity-only “E” class), composite non-insulating fire-rated glass, Low-E insulating glass units (IGUs), laminated glass, ceramic frit glass, curved tempered glass, shower enclosure glass and solar power glass.
