Xionggang crystal-silica fire-rated glass is a nano-silica composite fire-rated glass produced by combining high-strength glass with a nano-silica fire-resistant gel. Using dual-seal technology, the gel is cast and cured in situ inside the cavity of an insulating glass unit (IGU). This construction provides long-term resistance to moisture ingress and UV degradation. One or both lites can be specified as Low-E coated glass, combining fire resistance with thermal performance and acoustic insulation.
The line achieves integrity-and-insulation A(EI)-class fire resistance for 30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 minutes. EW-class and EI-class options are also offered in Class A and Class C configurations.
Optical and durability data:
- Visible light transmittance (VLT): ≥ 80 %.
- UV ageing: after 1,000 hours of exposure, test samples showed no significant discolouration, bubbles or haze; relative VLT change before and after testing was ≤ 10 %.
- Warranty: 5 years standard, up to 10 years.
The product is suitable for high- and low-temperature environments and can be used in fire-rated curtain walls.
