Sichuan Xionggang Glass manufactures borosilicate 4.0 fire-rated glass in sheet sizes up to 4500 mm × 2440 mm and thicknesses of 5 mm–15 mm. Dimensions can be tailored to project-specific requirements.

The material offers a fire resistance rating exceeding 120 minutes. Its high softening point and low thermal expansion provide thermal stability under fire conditions, while maintaining the transparency needed for visibility during evacuation and rescue. The glass weighs more than 8% less than ordinary glass and delivers high mechanical strength. Because the raw material contains no nickel, the finished product is free of nickel sulfide inclusions, removing the risk of spontaneous breakage.
Before tempering, the glass can be cut, ground, drilled and coated. It can also be laminated, assembled into insulating glass units (IGUs) or combined using vacuum processes to create composite fire-rated materials with improved thermal performance.
Optical performance includes 92% visible light transmittance (VLT) with low distortion. The glass also offers resistance to acids, alkalis and ultraviolet degradation.
