Xionggang produces borosilicate 4.0 fire-rated glass in sheet sizes up to 4500 mm × 2440 mm, with thicknesses from 5 mm to 15 mm.
The manufacturer states the material offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, low spontaneous-breakage risk, chemical stability, and optical clarity. It can be supplied as monolithic sheets or further processed into laminated, coated, insulating glass unit (IGU), and ceramic frit assemblies.
Target building applications include fire-rated doors, windows, railings, and curtain walls; internal fire partitions and smoke baffles; elevator-shaft glazing; and fire-rated floors and skylights.
The glass is also specified for rail-transit platform screen doors and rolling-stock windows.
