On 27 August 2021, representatives of the Sichuan and Chengdu Door and Window Industry Association visited Xionggang Glass in Chengdu to review fabrication processes and product capabilities. The tour covered production flows for fire-rated, insulating and tempered glass.
Founded in December 2000 and based in the Chengdu Tianfu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, Xionggang Glass operates a 70,000 m² plant with approximately 300 staff, more than 70% of whom are technical specialists. The company fabricates high-strength monolithic non-insulating fire-rated glass, composite non-insulating fire-rated glass, Low-E insulating glass units (IGUs), laminated glass, ceramic frit glass, curved tempered glass, shower enclosure glass and solar glass.
The facility houses more than 80 major items of equipment, including five Italian high-precision automatic cutting lines, eight automatic edge-grinding lines, one high-stress tempering furnace dedicated to monolithic non-insulating fire-rated glass, one composite non-insulating fire-rated glass production line, three automatic double-chamber tempering furnaces with curved-glass capability, two laminated glass lines, six imported IGU lines, one ceramic frit glass line, one CNC fire-rated glass burn-test furnace and one heat soak furnace. Annual processing capacity exceeds 3.5 million m².
The association reviewed Xionggang’s capabilities in energy-efficient and fire-rated glass and its integration within the regional window, door and curtain wall supply chain.
